Salon

Dusk Hair is a small, family run, unisex salon established in 2010 in the heart of Potters Bar, Hertfordshire. Amy opened the doors to Dusk at the age of 21 and has strived hard to make the salon a home-from-home, friendly and warm experience for all guests walking through the door.
We love our guests and we welcome one and all to join the experience. Dusk Hair aim to please with vision and precision. With an amazing range of Paul Mitchell take-home products to continue your salon experience daily and keep your home hair maintenance on point! We truly believe in making steps towards a cleaner, greener planet here at Dusk. Therefore we choose to use vegan Tea Tree products and colours, brown paper retail bags and recycle any salon materials we can after use. We also support reforestACTION with help from Paul Mitchell, planting thousands of trees worldwide by stocking and selling the Tea Tree brand range. With every bottle sold, a tree is planted, and we believe this is a project the local community could support with us!
​The salon has had a facelift for the new decade and is looking vibrant, fresh and zingy! We have 3 styling stations, a 2 basin wash house, a take-home retail area and customer toilet. Also make use of our exclusive Customers chill lounge where you can wait for your colour to take while you watch the tropical fish, or maybe you would prefer to read one of our many books available.

As a very hands-on, creative person, hairdressing is my ideal career.
I learnt my trade as an apprentice 17 years ago, learning a wide range of skills within my work, 
and was fortunate enough to open the doors to Dusk Hair in October 2010.

I have always worked with Paul Mitchell products and am a massive fan
​ of their ethos and efforts towards a greener planet!
